Salon Fabríl: Palatti en Buenos Aires. cheLA, Parque Patricios, Buenos Aires Argentina 2010.
During March and April 2010, Palatti anticipated the 200th anniversary of Argentinean independence in Buenos Aires' south side. Here, the cultural initiative cheLA established an art centre in one of the many abandoned factories, which it lent generously to the nomadic Palatti troupe. On the eve of the bicentenario, Argentina seemed engaged in an increasingly mythical battle for its soul, while searching for its identity.
This exhibition was followed up by a presentation in the Kunstvlaai 2010 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Participating artists: Anna Bas Backer, Mirya Gerardu, Aurelio Kopainig, Holger Kruse, Julia Mensch, Betty Ras and Paul Steenberghe.
With the support of the Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture and IFA, Institut für Auslandbeziehungen, Germany.
