Out of Foreign Focus. Gallery Hani i 2 Robertëve, Prishtina, Kosovo 2006

The exhibition Out of Foreign Focus was a collaborative project between Palatti and the gallery Hani i 2 Robertëve in Prishtina, Kosovo. During the first two projects the interaction with the context mostly concerned the local environment and led to a dialogue with the space. The project in Kosovo, however, drew the group into the acute reality of living in a divided and contested country. This inevitably led to a deeper interaction between the works made and the surroundings.

This exhibition was followed by a second exhibition in Germany, Palatti Kosova Berlin, in which some of the existing pieces were combined with newly created works that dealt with their impressions in retrospect.

Participating artists: Anna Bas Backer, Eline Jongsma, Aurelio Kopainig, Kel O'Neill, Sara Pape García and Betty Ras. With the support of the Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture, the Mondriaan Foundation in the Netherlands and the Swiss Cultural Programme in Kosovo.
